Sav Rocca joined us as the Director of Coaching in Australia as well as an on-field coach in Melbourne at our facility in Heidelberg.
He played Australian rules football for Collingwood and North Melbourne in the Australian Football League, and then switched to playing American football as a punter for the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Redskins in the National Football League.
Between 1992 and 2007, he played 257 AFL games as a full forward or centre half-forward, kicking 748 goals.
When he signed with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2007, he became the oldest rookie in the history of the NFL and the Special Team Player of the Month (09/2008).
After four seasons with the Eagles, he joined the Washington Redskins, where he played three seasons through 2014.

Our Technical Director is a punting Pioneer that began the Australian migration into The NFL and NCAA.
He is credited with introducing the Drop Punt into the American game in NFL Europe in 1995 and the NFL in 1997.
In 1993 he retired from an Injury plagued 12 year Aussie Rules career and went to a tryout with the San Diego Chargers.
This lead to an 11 year NFL career with the Chargers (1994-2003) and Minnesota Vikings (2004-05).
Darren was selected to 2 Pro Bowls, The NFL Team of the Decade in the 1990’s, The 1996 All Madden Team and The San Diego Chargers 40th and 50th All Time Teams as well as finishing his Career with the Chargers records in punts and punt yards in a game, season and career.
In 2012, Darren was enshrined into the San Diego Chargers Hall of Fame and Ring of honor.

Rhys is an expert in both AFL and American football codes. Rhys played footy in WA up until U19s when he switched codes and went to the USA on a scholarship as a punter.
After being named to the All-American team twice, Rhys came back to Australia and won $100k in prize money in the longest kick-in Australia competition.
Specialising in the aspect of punting and kicking, Rhys heads up our coaching and development in Western Australia.
Rhys has been coaching for over 10 years and has a degree in Sports Science and Human Movement.
Rhys has worked with and passed on his knowledge to the current team of Australians who are making a name for themselves in college Football in the United States of America.
Our Scouting Director is a former Letterman Iowa State Football Defensive Back and was part of the development Squad of the LA Raiders in the NFL from 1993-95.
He also worked as an NFL International Development Manager (98-03) and made the Essendon Bombers AFL International List in 97/98.
Further, he participated in the NFL Super Punt- Australian to NFL and World League from 99-02.

Davan grew up playing Aussie Rules Football in QLD and VIC.
He started his undergraduate at Griffith University and then transferred to Louisiana Tech University on a full scholarship to play football with two years of eligibility.
He started as the backup Punter and worked his way to the starting position, competing in two Bowl Championships.
He also played in the Tropical Bowl and FBS College Football All-Star game in Daytona, Florida.
He has been a part of the coaching team since 2020 and has successfully trained multiple student-athletes to full-ride scholarships in the United States.
Hamish is a seasoned coach and athlete developer who made his mark across a four-year playing career at Jax State.
Starting in 52 games, he is the university's equal games record holder and clinched two conference titles as well as appearing in a national championship game.
Hamish ended his career as a Hammer Strength All-American and JSU record holder for longest punt (86 yards) and longest punt in a play-off game (64 yards), his class of 2016 is Jax State is the winningest class in school history.
Post-playing career, Hamish has transitioned to sports and athlete development. Currently, Hamish is the Player Development Manager at Werribee Football Club in the VFL.
Additionally, he is a Health and PE teacher, specialising in Point Cook College's athlete development program.
Hamish's extensive experience as a player and coach helps us to grow and develop the knowledge and skills of aspiring college athletes.
